I think that this is a great video to make us think about Utopia. It is very positive and full of some good lyrics. I don’t the song; did you know it before you posted the video? “We gather round in a room” is a nice opening and a very casual way of saying, “have a meeting”. Then the other messages of talking without judgment are also very powerful. A little more of this and we could solve a lot of problems. I also like the idea of putting on our seat belts, which suggests to me that the process is not an easy one. Does it say the same thing to you? Also and I forgot to mention to you and the class that utopia is the same as Nirvana but the second one was the Viking concept of the perfect place and Utopia did not come into the English language until the 17th century.
